Teller Position

Cecil Bank is looking for friendly, outgoing, and service-oriented individuals to fill Teller positions at the Bank.

The successful candidate should have money handling experience, working knowledge of banking, and a sincere desire to assist customers. Computer experience a plus.

This hourly position pays according to experience and benefits include: health, dental insurance, life and disability coverages and a 401(k) plan.

 

Loan Operations Specialist II Position

The Loan Operations Specialist II is responsible for processing all new loans, modifications and forbearance agreements, the daily processing of all maintenance requests (risk ratings, fee waivers, payment corrections, etc.) as well as charge offs (full and partial, as needed). Also responsible for posting commercial loan payments and post matured loan payments into system. Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently, a positive “can-do” attitude, and the desire to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers. 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in commercial and consumer loan operations and procedures
  • Banking background required
  • Strong PC skills, proficiency in MS Office applications including Word and Excel, loan processing systems

Mortgage Loan Manager

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for managing the application, underwriting, approval, compliance, and funding of mortgage loans for the Bank which caters to the needs of Bank clients.  The Mortgage Loan Officer participates in the marketing strategy and execution and proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and sells mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and maintains successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Bank customers through marketing, cold-calling, prospecting and networking activities. Participates in community activities to promote home ownership.
  2. Maximizes Bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan origination and fee income for both secondary market and portfolio.
  3. Ensures that all pertinent account documentation is complete and accurate and that all collateral has been properly secured.
  4. Negotiate terms, structures loan financing based on risk considerations and present credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority within the Bank in accordance with Bank procedures including the completion and maintenance of financial tracking records in a timely fashion.
  5. Ensures exceptional customer service experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners.
  6. Achieves production goals as established by Bank.
  7. Performs duties as an experienced LaserPro software user.
  8. Develops, encourages, maintains staffing to support bank goals/budget.
  9. Promotes and cross-sells other company products and services as appropriate to customer requirements. 
  10. Involved with the community such as civic organizations and non-profit Boards.
  11. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Training and Compliance:

Complete required training courses, BSA/AML/USA PATRIOT Act/OFAC and any other assigned regulatory courses required to complete duties, including working knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), mortgages, liens and other aspects of the loan collateral perfection.

Minimum Education/Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Economics or related field preferred. Five (5) – ten (10) years’ experience in a financial institution, preferably in commercial, consumer, real estate or agriculture lending preferred. Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in a mortgage platform, with a minimum two (2) years in mortgage origination. Some management experience preferred.  This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment.  Competence in mortgage Truth in Lending regulation and TILA-RESPA preparation effective October 3, 2015.  The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the MU4R questions and registration requirement for employment in this position.

 

Consumer Lender

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for managing the application, underwriting, approval, compliance, and funding of Consumer loans for the Bank which caters to the needs of bank clients.  Duties include coordination of interest rate approvals.  Responsible for adherence to compliance guidelines and to the requirements of federal registration under the SAFE Act.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accepts, processes, and underwrites all consumer applications (Cecil Bank website and in-person) in compliance with all federal and state regulations. Achieves production goals as established by Bank.
  2. Interacts with bank external compliance consultant, as needed. Responsible for reporting and internal and external audit results for CRA, consumer compliance, and Adverse Action Letters. 
  3. Inputs into Credit Leader all credit applications and analysis information for Consumer credits.
  4. Recommends interest rate offering changes within Bank parameters.
  5. Facilitates closings of all consumer loans funded by Bank. Intimately familiar with all loan documents of consumer type.  Coordinates and interacts with documentation preparation personnel.
  6. Examines, evaluates and recommends approval of all secured consumer and small business (less than $100M) loans or lines of credit requests by determining whether they meet established criteria and are within limits of lending authority.
  7. Properly identifies fair lending denial reasons, with second review as required, and coordinates all activities related to counter-offers and denial decisions.
  8. Provides quality customer service by being accessible, responsive, and in constant communication with the customer in regards to the customer’s financial needs.
  9. Cultivates new business. Markets and promotes Bank’s consumer loan products, including the promotion of products and programs/promotions within the Bank’s branch system.
  10. Promotes and cross-sells other Company products and services as appropriate to customer requirements. 
  11. Involved with the community such as civic organizations and non-profit Boards.
  12. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Training and Compliance:

Complete required training courses, BSA/AML/USA PATRIOT Act/OFAC and any other assigned regulatory courses required to complete duties. 

Minimum Education/Experience Required: Associate’s degree in a business-related field at a minimum. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Five (5) years in a financial institution, preferably in consumer lending; some management experience preferred.  This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment.

 

Commercial Relationship Manager

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for development and management of all aspects of commercial banking relationship management, including loans, deposits, and banking service products that meet established lending, deposit gathering, and banking services cross-selling requirements, and provide maximum profitability to the Bank at minimum risk. This is a Senior Officer level role that works under moderate guidance.

Must complete required training courses, BSA/AML/USA PATRIOT ACT/OFAC and any other assigned regulatory courses required to complete duties. Seek out additional regulatory training related to lending and credit functions.  Participate in FiServ training.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably business/accounting related; or, similar on-the-job experience. 
  • Banking experience with at least six (+) years in commercial portfolio management and/or loan review.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency of systems including Microsoft Office suite and proprietary software products used in the support of the loan business.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated with ability to interpret and analyze customers’ needs on a continual basis.
